Student guide

Make ALON work for your campus day.

Follow these practical steps to join your school, organize your timetable, participate in community spaces, and use your account across devices.

FIVE SHORT SECTIONS
01 / Account access

Getting started with your school

ALON organizes community spaces by school. During registration, choose your campus and complete the account and school verification steps shown in the app. Some community features stay unavailable until that review is complete. If your school is not listed, use the school request option rather than choosing a different campus.

The sample workspace lets you explore screens with example data. It is separate from a real student account: sample messages, schedules, and listings are examples, not live campus posts. To use your own school space and keep your work with your account, sign in with an approved account.

If you are waiting for approval, check your account status in ALON. The support page explains where to ask for help with account access.

02 / Study planning

Plan your week and keep study work together

Use the schedule to record classes with their day and time, then review the week before adding study sessions or other commitments. If your timetable changes, edit the affected class rather than relying on an old copy. ALON also includes calendar and study tools such as flashcards, a focus timer, and grade or budget tracking.

A simple schedule routine

  1. Add each course to your timetable and check its start and end time.
  2. Review the weekly view so classes and study blocks do not overlap unexpectedly.
  3. Update the timetable when your school publishes a changed schedule, then check your saved study materials.

These tools help organize your own information; they do not replace official school enrollment or academic records. Confirm exam dates, room changes, and grades with your school when accuracy matters.

03 / Campus community

Find relevant campus information

Campus news and official announcements appear alongside student discussions. Boards and chat give students places to ask questions and stay connected. Directory and listing areas may include professor information, food, trade, housing, and lost-and-found posts where those features are available to your school.

Before posting, choose the right school and section, write a title that tells other students what the post is about, and keep contact or location details only as specific as needed. For a listing, check that the item or information is still current; for an announcement, use the original school source when making an important decision.

User posts can be reported for review. ALON's moderation tools are intended to keep shared spaces useful, but community content is not a substitute for a university's official notices.

04 / Across devices

Using ALON on web and mobile

Visit ALON on the web on a laptop or desktop, or use the ALON mobile app. Sign in to the same account to access account-backed campus information.

Some features depend on your device. For example, operating-system notifications and biometric unlock rely on mobile device permissions. Browser notifications require browser support and permission. If a feature appears different between devices, check the relevant permission and your account status before recreating data.

05 / Safety and help

Keep your account and community safe

Use an account you control, review what you share in public posts, and report content that needs attention. Avoid putting passwords, student IDs, or private contact details into public discussions. If you lose access, use the recovery options on the sign-in page or contact support.

Read the Privacy Policy for how ALON handles information and the Terms for community rules. You can also find account and data deletion instructions through Data Deletion.
